Babylon 5: The Lost Tales trailer online

Babylon5.jpgBabylon 5: The Lost Tales - Voices in the Dark has a trailer and you can see it online.

This is the latest film in J. Michael Straczynski's Babylon 5 universe, and holds two stories together in one film. There was to be a third focusing around Michael Garibaldi, but that's been held off for a later date, and hopefully a complete film of its own, mainly because of the complexity of the tale and the effects involved.

Meanwhile the trailer for this film tells us little about the actual story except for a few key points. John Sheridan, played by Bruce Boxleitner, and Colonel Elizabeth Lochley, played by Tracy Scoggins, are back, as is Babylon 5 itself.

I loved Babylon 5 the series, although I can honestly say I never really fully got into the spin off films. Perhaps now that J. Michael Straczynski is directing and has some budget behind him I'll get drawn into the story like I was with the series. I have to admit that with the first few seconds of the trailer I felt myself getting drawn to the story again, boxsets at the ready.

Thanks to hlbimage over at Movie-List Forums you can see the trailer for Babylon 5: The Lost Tales - Voices in the Dark over at the official site, just select the menu and then The Lost Tales tab. Don't get confused by the trailer for the original Babylon 5 playing.

If you never saw the series I am hard pressed to say hold off for the film, I would suggest renting them and going for glory. Remember though that the series started off with next to no budget, so give it time to develop. Simply put, Babylon 5 is the fifth and last neutral space station designed to try and bring peace between the major interstellar empires, including the Earth Alliance.

It's a superb series, and we can only hope that this film lives up to them. Have the previous films done that? I must admit that after seeing one spin off film I just didn't follow the rest.
