The trailer for Julie Delpy's film 2 Days in Paris is online, and I have to say I'm not really that impressed. I don't know what it is, perhaps I'm just not one for the standard comic fare, of which this seems to be more of the same.

The usual misunderstandings to stretch out comic events and a seemingly bland use of the cultural differences, mainly in the area of sex. I really do hope that this is just because of the cut of the trailer, but it didn't really grab me.

Julie Delpy and Adam Goldberg star in this film about French born Marion and her boyfriend, American born Jack who head to France for a few days with Marion's family and friends. Jack is seriously out of his depth and struggles with the culture and language. Delpy wrote and directed the film as well.

Apparently the story is much, much better than the trailer would have you think, and it's supposed to be hilarious to the point of wiping the tears from your face. Well if that's the case then the trailer isn't really doing it for me.
