Has Patrick Wilson confirmed Watchmen role?

PatrickWilson.jpgCould Patrick Wilson be the Nite Owl for the Watchmen film? The cult comic book adaptation seems to be gathering some momentum at last, with Zack Snyder directing and loads of discussion about this attempt at production, we now hear that another name is attached, and from the very man himself.

According to Patrick Wilson he's not bound not to say anything, but he should keep quiet until everyone else is announced on Watchmen. However the way he speaks it seems almost certain. You can read the whole interview over at Coming Soon, but here are the key moments:

"I don't know if I'm allowed to talk about this stuff. It's been confirmed on a lot of websites...

...I would blab my mouth 'cause I certainly haven't been told to keep quiet. It's just out of respect for them trying to get everybody else on board before I go ahead and blab my mouth, but it's pretty cool. It's exciting stuff."

When it was suggested that he was a good fit for the role should he hypothetically play it, he responded by asking when the article would go out, and then responded with:

"Oh yeah, well by then I would imagine there might be..."

I think there's a fair chance that he's got the role, and if not that character then he's onboard at least. Wouldn't he make a good Ozymandias as well as the rumoured Nite Owl?
