Rise: Blood Hunter quicktime trailer online
Rise: Blood Hunter, as if we needed reminding what the story is about by the words after the colon, has a new trailer online with a few new glimpses of the film with Lucy Liu and Michael Chiklis.
Yet I can't help but feel that this trailer is really underselling the film, or that the film does have a budget and production design that makes it feel like it is shot in a small, square room, and that there's no post production to it. That's not mentioning the bland delivery of the lines.
You know it does look slick and there are some nice moments in it, but there's nothing new that really grabs me, and that closing line of Liu's is pretty dud. Am I being too harsh?
Is there something more to see? There's certainly some cool names attached, and I'm not talking Marilyn Manson and Nick Lachey, no there's Lucy Liu, Michael Chiklis, James D'Arcy and Calra Gugino. Surely they can't be wrong?
Maybe it's just this trailer which you can see over at Apple Trailers [QT:L:iPod].
I also don't get why Liu looks so altered on the poster. Anyway, for those of you who don't know, the story for Rise: Blood Hunter is about a woman who is killed by some vampires. Except she's not killed and she wakes up in the morgue, alive. She meets the cop who found her at the scene and convinces him of what happened, it's not too hard as it seems the same thing happened to his daughter. So they team up and head after the group of vampires to bring them down, if she does, she wants the cop to kill her too.
