There's a new Simpsons trailer online and this one actually tells us a little about the plot, actually it tells us a lot more about the plot considering that so far we haven't really seen anything about it, just individual gags.

Springfield is in serious danger and it looks like President Schwarzenneger is set to destroy it for the sake of mankind. However there's one family that can't let that happen and are going to fight to stop it. Yes, for some insane reason, the Simpsons are Springfields last hope. I hate to say it, but it sounds like it's doomed.

The trailer makes The Simpsons Movie look epic with some huge set pieces...and spider-pig...

I'd love to argue that I don't think the Simpsons gags will work for a whole film and that the show's premise will stretch that far, but in all honesty I think it will, and I think it'll more than work, it'll be hilarious.
