Hero Grunberg in Cloverfield

GregGrunberg.jpgGreg Grunberg is J.J. Abrams good luck charm, according to him that is. That's not surprising since he's appearing in just about everything he makes. Now he seems set to step from his current show Heroes into Abrams new monster film 1-18-08, Cloverfield or Monstrous, if you prefer.

According to Greg Grunberg, who I loved in Alias and have just seen in the first two showings of Heroes on British TV, he's already been on set for the J.J. Abrams produced monster film.

"It'll probably be something where no one will be able to tell it's me...As you know, J.J. calls me his good-luck charm, so he's got to put me in there somewhere. I actually went to the set the other night, and it was really exciting and cool. The budget is not astronomical. But they're doing incredible things."

This guy is great on screen, there's just something about him, I think it's because he seems like the everyday kinda guy, and no offence meant, but he's a bigger bloke too. He's accessible, you and me, not some...I was going to say superhero, but considering his current role that might not be quite right.

The quote comes from TV Guide through Coming Soon.

Still, it seems the Cloverfield machine keeps running. Although I'm loving the leaking of information and misinformation, I do hope that a lot of it manages to be kept under wraps for the release.
