Demi Moore and Katie Holmes are rumoured to be up for the same roles in Rob Marhsall's new musical film Nine.

They supposedly both auditioned for roles last week, and with Catherine Zeta-Jones and Renée Zellweger already said to be taken, it looks like there won't be many roles left! It also marks easy territory for Rob Marshall as both those female stars were in his Chicago film not that long ago.

It does sound a bit of a rumour, but I'm really surprised that Katie Holmes is going for the role in the Nine musical, although I wouldn't be surprised at Demi Moore trying out for it. Is Holmes of the calibre to stand up with these actresses and belt out a tune?
