Trailer for Schrader's The Walker online

PaulSchrader.jpgPaul Schrader's The Walker has a trailer and a website online. The film is about the society escort Carter Page, otherwise known as a Walker. He walks amongst Washington DC's political elite until a brutal murder occurs and he is implicated. He has to race against time to clear his name and protect his clients from scandal.

The film stars Woody Harrelson as Page, in a role that is being touted as his best performance to date, it also carries a cast of Kristin Scott Thomas, Lauren Bacall, Ned Beatty, Moritz Bleibtreu, Lily Tomlin and Willem Dafoe, some superb names, and from all accounts some excellent performances in a superb script and film from Paul Schrader.

You can see the trailer on the official site [Flash:Embed], through Cinematical, just select watch from the top menu. I actually think that the trailer does let down the film somewhat, considering the excellent cast and the talent of Paul Schrader behind the script and the camera.

See what you think, but I do feel that it doesn't do Woody Harrelson or Kirstin Scott Thomas any justice at all, and makes the film seem very bland and quite flat. That, I'm sure, is not really the case.
