Which is the best Bond car?
What is the best Bond car you've ever seen? I have to say that my particular favourite is the 1975 Lotus Esprit from The Spy Who Loved Me, that fights for top place with the latest and greatest, Aston Martin DBS from Casino Royale (Filmstalker review), but what's yours?
Over at cars.com they've pulled together a list of the top Bond cars using a couple of film and Bond buffs and pulled together the top list using just two criteria, James Bond has to have driven the car at one point in the film and it had to have been fitted with some Bond type gadget. Here's what they chose:
1: 1964 Aston Martin DB5 - Goldfinger
2: 1975 Lotus Esprit - The Spy Who Loved Me
3: 1997 BMW 750iL - Tomorrow Never Dies
4: 1985 Aston Martin Volante - The Living Daylights
5: 1930s Bentley Mark IV Convertible - From Russia With Love
6: 2002 Aston Martin Vanquish - Die Another Day
7: 1999 BMW Z8 - The World is Not Enough
Honorable Mention: 1961 Sunbeam Alpine - Dr. No
I don't really disagree with their choices, except with the BMW's, but I do find that I'm stunned at the exclusion of the DBS. If you had to chose one Bond car, which would you say was your favourite?
