A-Team film is not dead!
When I first started writing about films online The A-Team was the first story I ever wrote about, and despite it never actually getting any further, the Producer behind it has been speaking at Comic-Con and revealed that they are still going to make it.
I first wrote about the film beginning early production way back on the 15th of October 2004, and since then the project seems to have stalled. However at Comic-Con the Producer Marc Silvestri revealed that they've gone through several scripts and that they want this buddy film to work out just right.
He says that they've seen several scripts for The A-Team, and while they've come close, none of them have nailed it right for them and for the studio. He does say that the studio are ready to go with the film and really want to get it made, but that they are all looking for that script that captures the best elements of the film.
Reelzchannel who interviewed him, found through Scramble Network, asked him that same age old question about Mr T., and while he said that he wouldn't be returning for the B.A. role, he would love to get him back in a cameo.
A cameo would be good but they've got to concentrate on a new cast as he reveals that the story will be set in the modern day and it will be updated. So Vietnam is Iraq and the guys will be a bit younger with a hummer perchance.
I have to ask, as I did then. Who would you have as the cast if you could? Hannibal (George Peppard), Face (Dirk Benedict), B.A. (Mr T.) And Murdoch (Dwight Schultz)?
Oh, and remember that intro?...and with a Cylon too!
