Be B.I.G. in the Notorious biographical film
There are open casting calls being held for the lead role in the Notorious B.I.G. film Notorious, a film which has been in development for some seven years finally gets to start casting, and they've opened it up to everyone.
Well obviously not everyone, I mean I can't apply for the role as I'm white, middle aged, can't rap, and have a Scottish accent (I'm going to have fun at the Kaye West gig next week!), but perhaps you can.
According to the Yahoo News story Wallace's mother, Voletta Wallace, and his two former managers, Wayne Barrow and Mark Pitts, are producing the movie. Barrow said that someone to fit the part was hard to find, unless they thought of Forest Whitaker, and since he's twice the age and lost loads of weight and would probably not take the part, I'm surprised that they haven't considered Anthony Anderson from The Shield. Of the role Barrow said:
“I don't want you to just imitate him. I want to see his swagger, his style, his energy and smile come through.”
Previously the excellent Director Antoine Fuqua was attached to Notorious, however he was very concerned about the amount of control that the music producers had over the film, and perhaps that was a strong reason for him not helming the film.
Now though, it's your chance to be B.I.G.
