The first film doesn't end with him falling, it ends with him already having hit the pavement and blood oozing out of his various orifices. They could easily think of something to get him out of a fall but how can they realistically bring him back from the dead? Unlikely to be pulled off with any believability.

Nope, he hits the ground and bounces no less, coming to rest right next to the camera with his face pretty much filling the screen. Unless he's some distant cousin of Wolverine I'm pretty sure he's brown bread.

Has it actually been confirmed that Statham is the protagonist for the sequel? Or might he just be in it briefly at the beginning as his remains get scooped off the pavement and walls before proceeding with the story without him? Just a thought ;)

In that case I can't see a single way they can get him back unless they play it one of three ways.

I guess they could also play the twin card, but most of these are really poor.

Remember how at the end, there was a heart beat? That could imply he was still alive. Also, hitting the car may have somewhat dampened the fall, although that seems very unlikely.

I dont know if you guys are writing your comments from memory of the film or if you just watched it but either way you missed out the crucial part which shows blatantly that he survives the fall and hence a sequel will be inevitable.

After Chevy falls and bounces on the car he lands on the road and the camera zooms to a shot of his bloody head and after a few moments he blinks once. Him blinking shows he is still pumping the living banter. Starting the next one with that scene should be good and i definately cant wait for it to come out!

if you watch the end of crank carefully, after he bounces off the car and hits the floor......he blinks!

I'm almost positive that some sort of operation on Statham is gonna take place and he's going to end up miraculously living with robotic parts :-P
