First five minutes of Saw IV online

SawIII.jpgThe first five minutes of Saw IV are online, and that's damn quick considering how long the film has been in production.

For those of you who haven't seen Saw III, perhaps you shouldn't read on, for IESB has the plot outline, I've removed some of the references to the ending of Saw III.

Two FBI profilers, Agent Strahm and Perez, arrive in the terrified community to assist the veteran Detective Hoffman in piecing together the latest puzzle from the killer known as Jigsaw.

However, when SWAT Commander Rigg is abducted and thrust into a game, the last officer untouched by Jigsaw has but ninety minutes to overcome a series of demented traps and save an old friend or face the deadly consequences.

The footage is over at IESB and contains the entire first trap scene. It's pretty well done, although I'm sure the editing has some way to go and there looks to be a need for some more sound effects, but it's a pretty cool trap so far.

Still, this in isolation doesn't really give us that much on the entire film. I'm curious if Saw IV is going to turn out more like Saw III (Filmstalker review) or if it'll end up looking like Saw II (Filmstalker review).
