Is Notorious B.I.G. cast?

NotoriousBIG.jpgAccording to Sean Kingston himself, he's landed the lead role in the Notorious B.I.G. film, successfully coming through the audition to the Director, B.I.G.'s former Managers, Wayne Barrow and Mark Pitts, and his mother Voletta Wallace.

Although there's no official confirmation as yet, and the casting call had gone out to literally anyone, he seems confident that he's landed the role, even through what would appear to be a very tough audition, after all who would know B.I.G. better than those names above?

Kingston is a singer who has been controlling the charts in the U.S. with his song Beautiful Girls, so that proves he has musical talent too, but the question is can he act? Evidently he can carry a B.I.G. impression.

I'm quite surprised actually, especially since the casting call went out to absolutely anyone and they must have been inundated with responses. However the story from WENN through Starpulse News Blog has Sean Kingston as saying:

"When I first heard about that movie, it was through management. My management told me about it and you know I had auditioned for it and I met with the director and I nailed it and he gave me a shot now at being in the movie."

So he seems very confident, and it does sound that he's been given the role already. Of course, this could just be him using the media to push the fact while casting continues, but it seems much more certain from that comment.

The question is do the B.I.G. fans think that this guy can carry it off?
