New Scoop trailer online

Scoop.jpgThe latest trailer for Woody Allen's Scoop has appeared online. Unfortunately it's only in the annoying flash format that stops and starts more times than...than...something that stops and starts a lot.

However it is online and I have to say it totally washed over me. Let's take misunderstandings and stretch them out to the nth degree, oh and while we're at it let's throw in Woody Allen's comedy too.

Well the Woody Allen comedy bit never worked for me anyway, so I'm at a disadvantage already, but there was nothing in the trailer that made me laugh and the stretched misunderstanding ploy just made me think of a rather elongated soap episode.

You can see the new trailer over at Yahoo Movies [Flash:Embed].

Not for me. What does anyone else think of Scoop? I doubt even Hugh Jackman, Ian McShane and Scarlett Johansson are going to rescue any of it, not going by the trailer anyway.

This came out on DVD, a, quite a while ago, here in the US. I saw it. And I loved it. But I've always liked Woody Allen's style of comedy anyway so I admit I was expecting to like it going in.

I saw Manhattan on DVD recently and it has reaffirmed my admiration for Allen. Matchpoint released last year, felt more Hitchcock than Allen that totally floored me. As for Scoop, I am really looking forward to see this one.

Oh I loved Matchpoint.
