The trailer for Reservation Road is online. The film tells the story of two families whose lives converge with the death of a child. Joaquin Phoenix and Jennifer Connelly play one couple while Mark Ruffalo and Mira Sorvino play the other.

Joaquin Phoenix and Jennifer Connelly play the family who lose their child in a devastating accident, and Mark Ruffalo plays the man who hits the child in an accident and tries to cover up the fact after he leaves the scene, hiding it from his wife played by Mira Sorvino and his family.

The trailer looks extremely powerful and with Phoenix and Connelly we'll be promised a couple of blistering performances. I've heard that Ruffalo and Sorvino are equally as strong, although I've yet to see them in a performance that equals the others.

One big thing to remember about this film is that Terry George co-wrote and directed the film, George also wrote and directed Hotel Rwanda (Filmstalker review).
