It appears that Rose McGowan is probably the current forerunner for the role of Barbarella in Robert Rodriguez's remake of the sixties space vixen.

Although it's still a rumour, the story comes from an insider who claims that Robert Rodriguez and the studio have been doing test shots and Rose McGowan has been the actress playing Barbarella.

Jo Blo has the rumour and the big question is really is McGowan wearing the character's gold skimpy outfit just because she was available and Rodriguez knows her, or is it something more, is she the next Barbarella taking over from Jane Fonda?
