Stalked: Blade Runner and Oldboy high definition DVD's

BladeRunner-FinalCutBox.jpg.jpgThere's a couple of news items out about some great DVD's coming our way, Oldboy on Blu-ray and the multiple versions and releases of the new Blade Runner Director's Cut.

First up after Tartan announces that it's turning to Blu-ray, they've announced some of the specifications for Oldboy. From High Def Digest come the specs:

The first BD-50 Blu-ray disc will contain the unrated version of the feature film in 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 video, with Korean DTS-HD Lossless Master Audio 5.1 Surround and Dolby EX 5.1 Surround tracks (an optional English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround dub will also be provided).

...three audio commentaries with the director, the cast, and members of the technical crew...deleted scenes (with optional director commentary) and the original theatrical trailer.

The second disc -- a standard-def DVD -- will include a five-part making-of documentary, six additional featurettes, interviews with the cast and crew, and trailers for other Tartan titles.

As for the upcoming huge release of the final and new Director's Cut version of Blade Runner, there's an official site online for it which includes details of all the boxsets as well as images, clips, trailers, and loads more. The site comes from Rope of Silicon.
