Stalked: Lightsabers by NASA and Unforseen seen in U.S.

StarWars.jpgLuke Skywalker's lightsaber will be sent into space and likely cause a terrible conflice, while The Unforseen ecological film gets U.S. distribution.

The Unforseen has been picked up for U.S. distribution according to Variety. The film is produced by Robert Redford and Terence Malik and comes from Director Laura Dunn. It looks at a farmer who becomes a developer whose developments threaten a limescale aquifier and an environmental movement is set up against him.

Luke Skywalker's lightsaber is to be blasted into space by Nasa according to WENN through Starpulse News Blog. Chewbacca is handing the prop over to a member of NASA who will take it back to NASA headquarters to be loaded on the Space Shuttle in October and released into space during a scheduled launch. Great idea. When some alien race find this strange item, break it apart and find it's a crude attempt at a prototype weapon, they'll realise we're hostile and attack. Well done Star Wars!
