Well it's finally out, The Lost Boys 2: The Tribe cast which will not feature Jason Patric but apparently will star three of the original stars with Corey Feldman, Jamison Newlander and Corey Haim, despite previous concerns he couldn't appear, but definitely no Jason Patric as was previously rumoured in that same story.

Now the word is that the script for the sequel is strong and very faithful to the original, and with the return of three of the original stars and a new ensemble who have a similar feel to the original group, this sequel is aimed at a little more than the direct to DVD market that it's headed for, but will it work?

The rest of the line up that joins Angus Sutherland, the previously announced head of the vampire gang, are:

Kyle Cassie (“Devour”), Shaun Sipos (“The Grudge 2”) and Merwin Mondesir (“Godsend”)

That's the list from Moviehole who have the news. Frankly though, I can't get as excited as Clint obviously is. This sequel does seem like they are trying to push to the original, but without some of the talent of the first film, I don't see The Lost Boys 2: The Tribe hitting as well with fans, even with Corey Feldman, Jamison Newlander and Corey Haim.
