Accidental Husband four minute clip online

ColinFirth.jpgWe haven't really heard that much about The Accidental Husband, a romantic comedy starring Uma Thurman, Colin Firth and Jeffrey Dean Morgan until this four minute compilation clip came online, and you know what, it doesn't look that bad...for a romantic comedy.

I think for me the only really weak part of the clip is the panic eating moment because it seems somewhat forced. The rest of it seems quite natural. Mind you, I believe Colin Firth should back away from anything romantic and comedy and turn solely to drama. His performance in the excellent Trauma (Filmstalker review) shows that quite clearly. See it now if you haven't already.

Oh, and while I'm blatantly advertising good films from Colin Firth, keep your eye out for The Meat Trade, a film that modernises the Burke and Hare tale and is filmed in Edinburgh, Firth and Robert Carlyle star in the Irvine Welsh written and Antonia Bird directed film. Now really do keep your eye on that one.

Anyway, back to The Accidental Husband. A clip from Filmz.ru has turned up on MoviesOnline [Flash] and it tells the whole story, which doesn't look that bad really. It might actually turn out to be something enjoyable, light, and very positive in a world of dark and slightly downward films.

Rumack: Captain, how soon can you land?
Captain Oveur: I can't tell.
Rumack: You can tell me. I'm a doctor.
Captain Oveur: No. I mean I'm just not sure.
Rumack: Well, can't you take a guess?
Captain Oveur: Well, not for another two hours.
