Evening trailer with amazing female talent

Evening.jpgThe trailer for Evening is here in various formats and sizes and I was amazed at how easily it touched me. More than that I was struck by the sheer weight of talent in the film.

Evening is adapted from the Susan Minot novel (Amazon.co.uk / Amazon.com) and is directed by Lajos Koltaim and it tells the story of a dying mother of two who tells her two daughters of the defining moments of her life, revealing previously untold stories.

The stars they've gathered make rather an impressive list. Claire Danes, Toni Collette, Vanessa Redgrave, Meryl Streep, Glenn Close and Natasha Richardson are some of the most talented actresses around.

Without further ado, here's the trailer for the film, see what you think. I'm rather keen just for the line up of actresses.

Yeah, I saw the trailer for this last week, looks like a real tearjerker to me.

I had the same feeling about the trailer. Looked good, great cast and then I saw the movie. Oh boy. Sadly, it's a mess of a film. I'd be willing to rent it in hopes of some special menu features that let you see only parts of the film but I have a feeling that's not going to happen.

Ach! Must be a real letdown huh?

I don't understand how Hollywood can mess up films that have such huge casts, especially with such influencial actors.

If I was in charge I'd be scared to death of messing up a film with some of those ladies on board!
