Ben Kingsley is to star as William Shakespeare in an adaptation of the novel Will by Christopher Rush (Amazon.co.uk / Amazon.com).

The novel tells the story of the meeting between Shakespeare and his lawyer as the famous author prepares his last will and testament on his death bed.

Personally I'd love to see more on the subject of the Shakespeare conspiracy theory that he was actually a nom de plume for various writers of his time, not the prolific single writer he was believed to be. However it will be a good role for Kingsley.
