Uwe Boll on Zombie Massacre
It seems that Uwe Boll is going to continue adapting videogames for the big screen, and there's no real improvement on their depth of plot.
Zombie Massacre could be next, the first person shooter on the Wii. The funniest thing is that the game's producer apparently approached Uwe Boll!
Benjamin Krotin is the game producer, and he said through IGN...
"...with Zombie Massacre we had a concept that we knew would translate well to film without any major changes having to be made, and we were just in the right place at the right time. We started talking about attempting to pursue it further, and Uwe Boll was the first and only name to come up because of his extensive experience in working with video game properties."
Wow, they seem really keen...for some reason. Perhaps it's the amount of publicity the man gets? Boll seems intent to set his sights higher than they have been though.
"I want to make this movie more creepy than House of the Dead, which was intended to be funny and campy...I'd like Zombie Massacre to be a harsh zombie movie like 28 Days Later."
Great intentions, we'll have to see if they work out though Mr Boll. You have to hand it to this guy, despite all the bad films, reviews and general press he gets, he still keeps making films.
