300 parody trailer stinks
There's a trailer out online for the 300 parody Meet the Spartans and so far it just clings to the standard parody tick boxes including throwing in the latest celebrity currently receiving ridicule in the media, Britney Spears.
I have to say that raises an interesting question. If stars do believe that their private life should be kept out of the celebrity media then why are actors and actresses appearing in parodies where they do just what the celebrity media does?
You can see the trailer directly from MyMarketingSpace [FLV] through st39.6 at Movie-List Forums, and again you'll need an FLV player, a free one is available from FLVSoft.
I'm really not impressed by this at all, there's no content and nothing that's cleverly parodying 300. It's just a dance number and a personal attack on a celebrity, not that I'm defending Britney Spears, but there's nothing in there that's actually a parody of 300 (Filmstalker review). Unless dressing up in the same costumes and kicking out some standard jokes is a parody these days...oh maybe it is.
