Charles B. Griffith passed away on September 28th. Griffith was most known for his screenplays such as Little Shop of Horrors and Death Race 2000.

Quentin Tarantino recently credited his film Death Proof (Filmstalker review) to the screenwriter, notably because of his sixties and seventies work on films such as The Wild Angels starring Peter Fonda and Nancy Sinatra and Devil's Angels starring John Cassavetes. Motorcycle films which became forerunners for Easy Rider.

According to Variety he contributed scenes to the original Barbarella.
