A rumour on the Interflab is that a Director has been found for the remake of Clive Barker's Hellraiser, which Clive Barker is rewriting himself.

Well rather than Director I should perhaps say Directors, for Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury are in negotiations to direct the remake.

Usually remakes would fill me with dread, and they just about always do, especially this classic. Yet the news that Clive Barker was to rewrite it was a promising sign.

Now word from Bloody Disgusting is that this is another good sign, for Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury were the pair who directed Inside (À l'intérieur), which has been bought at Cannes by the Weinsteins, a film which they say is pretty damn good.

I haven't seen the film myself, but the word is that it's good. À l'intérieur stars Béatrice Dalle and Alysson Paradis who is a pregnant woman who is grieving over her recently deceased boyfriend and starts seeing a mysterious woman, next thing is the woman is trying to kill her, and that's a bummer.
