Kaare Andrews He-Man pitch video online

He-Man.jpgKaare Andrews is a comic book writer and filmmaker that is looking to pitch an idea for the new He-Man film, well if there is going to be a new He-Man and the Masters of the Universe film.

What's more is that he's taken the idea a step further than just creating a pitch, he's stylised a little animated taster of his vision for the film.

Kaare Andrews has written and drawn for The Matrix, X-Men, Spider-Man and The Incredible Hulk, and his video presentation looks pretty interesting. It's rather darker than expected, very non-camp and carries a nice style to it. However just now Justin Marks is assigned to write the script for the current version.

You can see the video for the pitch over at IESB [Flash].

The only unfortunate thing about this is that it does look like it's trying to sell an animated version of He-Man, and I really would like to see a live action version, and a modern one, not a cheesy eighties recreation.

What He-Man and the Masters of the Universe are you for? Animation, live-action modern, live-action eighties version? Regardless of the way we want it I don't have high hopes for the return of He-Man, it's all too cheesy and camp to make it as a strong film.

Acting is not the noblest profession in the world. There are things lower than acting - not many, mind you. The politicians give you something to look down on from time to time.
