Stallone hints at more Rambo

Rambo.jpgThere's a suggestion that there might be more from Rambo after this next outing with the ageing, but far from done, Sylvester Stallone.

Talking about the title of the new film he reveals that he didn't want it to be titled the same as Rocky Balboa was as that would suggest there would be no more...does that mean that there is going to be more?

Everyone seems to be against the idea of the title change from John Rambo to Rambo to Hell and Back, and so Sylvester Stallone talked with Harry from AICN to gauge the feeling about the new title. Harry pointed out that anything other than John Rambo would be a bad idea, and there I totally agree, apparently so did Stallone.

That's the perfect title, and whether it suggests an end or not, the final sequences of the film will determine that, and of course Stallone's desire to come back and make another. A desire that seems to be alive and well.

Here's what he said to AICN through Jo Blo:

“I just was thinking that the title JOHN RAMBO was derivative of ROCKY BALBOA and might give people the idea that this is the last Rambo film, and I don't necessarily feel that it will be. He's not an athlete, there's no reason he can't continue onto another adventure. Like John Wayne with THE SEARCHERS.”

So there's a feeling within Stallone that this won't be the last Rambo? That's a good thing, especially judging by the footage we've seen already. It looks like far from the film being below the standard already set, or coming out with more of the same, we're going to see an incredibly realistic sense of war and what it is to fight.

Without seeing the film, I'm already keen that Rambo doesn't pass on, and I can tell you now Mr Sylvester Stallone, the title change is a bad idea and John Rambo is the way to go, otherwise you'll be having the Die Hard 4.0 vs Live Free or Die Hard title debacle.

It won't necessarily hurt the film, but it'll be the butt of a good few jokes everytime the film is mentioned.
