The Eye trailer online
The trailer for the remake of the Pang Brothers The Eye is online, and while a lot of sites are being negative about it, I'm thinking it looks pretty good. Certainly the scares and the effects are very strong.
The film is probably getting some negative hits for the fact that the original Directors work was subject to reshoots by Patrick Lussier.
David Moreau and Xavier Palud Directed the remake, the original film having been shot by the Pang Brothers. Moreau and Palud are responsible for the excellent Ils (Them) (Filmstalker review).
I'd recommend watching the trailer, it has some excellent looking scenes and scares, and does look like it's fair to the original while finding its own ground too.
Of course it's a trailer, and that could totally misrepresent the film and the dramatic, storytelling elements.
