It's DVD evening on Filmstalker, and I've received the full specifications for the DVD and Blu-ray release of the film on December 10th in the UK.

The film sees the popular series characters come to the big screen in a tale that is almost Earth shattering as Homer takes on a quest to save the world from total disaster in the only way Homer knows how...actually he doesn't know any way.

"After the rock band Green Day are killed by pollution in the lake where they are performing, Grampa has a religious vision at their funeral in which he predicts impending doom on Springfield. Russ Cargill, head of the EPA, takes drastic action by enclosing Springfield in a giant glass dome after Homer disposes of his adopted pig’s waste in the lake, and now he must fight to save his family and the residents of Springfield from imminent disaster."

The Simpsons Movie looks like a pretty good DVD package, particularly with two commentary tracks and plenty of smaller extras to keep you occupied.
