Okay this casting rumour is changing faster than Kylie on stage, as now Christian Bale is rumoured not to be playing Terminator in the fourth and franchise restart film, neither is he rumoured as being John Connor, the previous hero of the franchise.

No, now he's being rumoured as being the new hero of the second part of the Terminator franchise, with the first film Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins.

This rumour comes from CHUD through HorrorMovies.ca and tells us that Christian Bale will be the new series hero. Now I'm not sure if this works in the timeline. I mean wasn't John Connor the one who leads the humans to victory? Or no...in the third parody film Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, didn't the Terminator say he was the one who had killed him in the future and had been sent back by his wife to help out in the past?

Oh...I am confusing myself. I don't know if it fits or not. What do you think? Does a new hero fit into the timeline, considering this film will see the battle in full swing between Skynet and humans? It sounds like Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins is messing slightly with the franchise, first the characters and now the timeline.

I'm still amazed that Christian Bale is in talks for a role in an McG film, even if it is Terminator.
