Connery directs horror
Well now he's directing, and he's directing a horror film no less with a superb cast including Cuba Gooding Jr., Ray Winstone, Taryn Manning, Ron Perlman, Henry Rollins, and Valerie Cruz.
Jason Connery, yes Sean's son, will direct the story about an elite group of soldiers (according to The Hollywood Reporter will include Cuba Gooding Jr., Taryn Manning, Jason London, Franky G, Zack Ward, Stephanie Jacobson and Brandon Fobbs) who are sent on a covert mission by a government agent played by Valerie Cruz to retrieve the missing scientist of Ron Perlman from an underground lab.
Is this sounding a bit Half Life-ish yet? Well it changes from here on out.
On the way they meet a priest played by Henry Rollins who reveals that an ancient evil has been released which causes someone's greatest fear to come to a life in front of them. Ray Winstone plays the former team leader who plays a pivotal role in the plot and Bill Moseley and Sarah Ann Morris play members of the research team deep within the bunker.
Sounds an interesting tale, and Connery has just directed his first film Pandemic. I've no idea what it's like, but it would be interesting to see. What I'm really intrigued by is this new film and the cast it has drawn, could it be that Pandemic really does impress?
