Hollywood Writers and Studios resume talks
The Hollywood writers and the studios are returning to talks on November the 26th some twenty one days after the strike first started.
There Writers Guild of America have been saying that this is a sign of the success of their action, and they hold high hopes for the talks, the studios have been remaining strangely quiet.
A joint statement from the Writers Guild of America and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers through Reuters and Yahoo News said all it needed to:
“Leaders from the WGA and the AMPTP have mutually agreed to resume formal negotiations on November 26. No other details or press statements will be issued.”
Films and Television are already suffering, some we want to see, and some which we don't, so the strike is a mixed blessing.
I was hoping to coincide this news with a discussion about the strike based on the currently running poll, unfortunately though the poll site is down and I can't access the more detailed reports, so I'll leave that one for another day.
