Real life Crips gang informant film

An article by Guy Lawson about a Crips gang member who became an FBI informant and worked with the authorities for over ten years is set to be brought to the big screen.

Interestingly the gang member cannot be named while the project is ongoing, but one would assume that the presence of an investigative article and a film might give the game away a little!

The pairing between the gang member and the FBI resulted in many solved murders as well as drug and arms deals, perhaps it also prevented a few on the way.

VarietyVariety tells us that the film is to be called The Knife.

What is amusing is that they reveal the name of the FBI Agent who was his handler, now if the gang really were after the guy wouldn't they just read the article, watch the film, and then head after the handler?
