Stalked: Stepfather and Half-Blood Prince casting

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has Narcissa Malfoy cast and the remake of Stepfather has a few new faces.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has a new character and cast member. Narcissa Malfoy is the character, who my fiancee informs me is the mother of Draco Malfoy and Bellatrix Lestrange's sister. With me? Newsround through Coming Soon.

Narcissa Malfoy is set to be played by Helen McCrory, she played Cherie Blair in The Queen. Good choice Potter fans?

The remake of The Stepfather has gained some cast with Dylan Walsh, Sela Ward and Penn Badgley joining and Adrianne Palicki in negotiations. The original tells the story of a boy who's mother remarries and while she thinks the guy is great, the boy believes him to be a murderer who disposed of his previous step-family. Nelson McCormick is directing, the original was made in 1987. The story comes from Variety.

Frankly, I'm almost a little disappointed by this news. It's not that I don't think she's a capable actress for the role, but I don't see her in my head as Narcissa. I will need to pull out my copy of The Queen and The Count of Monte Cristo to refresh my memory of her better.
In the text Cissa is somewhat of a porcelian beauty and while I didn't expect the actress cast to have that hair naturally I'm not sure Helen quite fits the vision.
Only time will tell...I'm going to have to let this news sink in. Typically I've always been very excited about the casting choices through out the years.
