AFI top ten of 2007

The time of the roundup of the top films of the year is upon us, and the American Film Institute have kicked off with their top ten list of films of the year as well as television programmes.

Now I haven't seen all these films, but there's an okay mix in there. I'm not sure if they are totally right though, see what you think.

BEFORE THE DEVIL KNOWS YOU'RE DEAD
THE DIVING BELL AND THE BUTTERFLY
INTO THE WILD
JUNO
KNOCKED UP
MICHAEL CLAYTON
NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN
RATATOUILLE
THE SAVAGES
THERE WILL BE BLOOD

Why they need to shout all the titles I have no idea, must be a size issue. Anyway, those are the top ten as the AFI believe them to be, do you agree? Seen something better?

Here are their list of television shows for the year too. The list comes from the AFI site through Rope of Silicon.

DEXTER
EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS
FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS
LONGFORD
MAD MEN
PUSHING DAISIES
THE SOPRANOS
TELL ME YOU LOVE ME
30 ROCK
UGLY BETTY

Now forgive me, but I think the AFI do fall on the "popular" choice, and by that I don't necessarily mean those most watched. I mean where is Battlestar Galactica? Jekyll? This is definitely not my list.

I have only seen 2 films from that list - Michael Clayton and Ratatouille and was already planning to watch No Country for Old Men when it's released next year.
