Alien Vs. Predator: Requiem Inside the Monster Shop

AVPR_cover.jpgAlien vs. Predator: Requiem - Inside the Monster Shop is a new book that looks behind the scenes of the filming of Alien vs. Predator: Requiem, and it's not just any behind the scenes look, this one is written by the special effects supervisors from the film, Tom Woodruff Jr. and Alec Gillis.

Not only did both men work on the Alien vs. Predator sequel, but between them they've worked on all the Alien sequels and The Terminator, as well as a host of other high profile special effects films.

The book is set to look into the work of the special effects studio ADI and reveal the secrets of the effects work on the film, from the very men who are running the special effects themselves. This promises a high level of insight into the effects work and what goes on behind the scenes.

It sounds rather interesting, and although I have little to reveal the insides of the novel, from the blurb it sounds like a good gift for fans of the franchise.

The book, Alien vs. Predator: Requiem - Inside the Monster Shop (Amazon.co.uk), will be available from Titan Books from the 18th of January 2008 for GBP £14.99.

This kind of stuff really interests me. I was going to get another book lke this (Stan Winston's book) a while back.

AVP-R interests me as well.

That's cool Billy, I wasn't sure if this was going to interest anyone. Glad it does. I'm angling for a review copy so we'll see.
