European Film Awards 2007 winners
The winners for the European Film Awards 2007 have been announced, and both The Band's Visit and The Queen took two awards each.
What is surprising though is the mix of films awarded, and disappointing that Last King of Scotland (Filmstalker review) didn't manage to win an award despite appearing in a huge number of categories.
The winners for the European Film Awards 2007, from Variety, are:
FILM: "4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days," Cristian Mungiu (Romania)
DIRECTOR: Cristian Mungiu, "4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days," (Romania)

It's a shame to see that there's not more of a mix of countries in the films that won, however there are a number of strong collaborations. It is superb to see a Romanian film winning Best Film and Best Director though, well done them.
