How to Lose Friends & Alienate People trailer online
Simon Pegg's latest film with Kirsten Dunst, How to Lose Friends and Alienate People has a trailer online, and while it's poor quality and rather small, it's still viewable.
The film also stars Megan Fox, Jeff Bridges, Gillian Anderson and Danny Huston, and that's a fair list of big names.
How to Lose Friends & Alienate People tells the story of a British writer who is struggling to make it at a high-profile fashion magazine in New York. It's based on the memoirs of Toby Young (Amazon.co.uk / Amazon.com
) who left London and headed to New York to be a contributing editor at Vanity Fair. However things didn't work out well and within two years he was fired from his job, banned from the most fashionable bar in the city, couldn't get a date, and couldn't even get into the local AA group!
It's a tale of spiralling downwards out of control and of the culture of celebrity from within...or so it says here.
The trailer is over at The Sun [Flash] through dtheatre and despite the poor sizing and the inability to play in Opera, it does look rather funny. My only concern here, although I haven't read the book, is that it's going to take too comic a look at the story and miss the satirical aspect of the story.
Have a look and see what you think, but so far it's looking like another comedy vehicle for Simon Pegg. Still, it does have a strong cast list.
