London Film Critics nominations 2007

TheFlyingScotsman-ScotPress-Sm.jpgThe London Film Critics have released their nominations for the 2007 awards, and these are slightly different from the American award nominations we've been seeing handed out of late.

These have quite a diverse range, and include some smaller films and roles too, some that are wholly deserving of a mention, including some overlooked British films.

I'm going to leap in and mention a personal favourite, Jonny Lee Miller is up for British actor of the year for The Flying Scotsman. Well done him. That said, I think the competition is really strong in that category, but it's great to see him get a nomination for the role. Hopefully we'll see him do more now.

Atonement and Control are mentioned rather a few times too, and there's not the usual Hollywood pick for the big titles either. Let me stop talking and give you the list and we can start the discussion from here. It's a great list, and a great pick, well done London Film Critics.

I caught the list through MCN and Hollywood Elsewhere.
