The Poughkeepsie Tapes Japanese trailer

ThePoughkeepsieTapes.jpgHaving already seen the trailer for The Poughkeepsie Tapes I wasn't hugely excited. It's a Blair Witch style film about the hundreds of video tapes found when a long running serial killer is discovered. He filmed all his murders.

So the original trailer might not have impressed, but this Japanese cut of the trailer certainly does.

The Japanese trailer for The Poughkeepsie Tapes is cut harder and stronger, and definitely does deliver a feeling of terror and horror, something that market is really are good at in their own films. However they've brought some of that magic to this trailer, and it's really worth watching.

The moment with the child on the lawn is perhaps the creepiest, and you can imagine that hearing the audio rather than the video is going to be the most effective and chilling part of it.

You can see the new trailer over at Bloody-Disgusting [Flash].

I completely agree. CREEPY.

That last shot just raised the level of creepiness to a much higher level.
