Daniel Craig, Liev Schreiber and Jamie Bell are starring in the film Defiance from the superb Director Edward Zwick which tells the story of three Jewish brothers who escape from Nazi occupied Poland and hide out in the Belarussian forest to join Russian resistance fighters.

They help a massive group of people escape and hide from the Nazi's, training them to be fighters and helping them build a home for themselves in the forest, making an army of over one thousand resistance fighters.

Sound bizarre? Well it's true, and it's based on the story as told by Nechama Tec in the book Defiance: The Bielski Partisans (Amazon.co.uk / Amazon.com).

Daniel Craig, Liev Schreiber and Jamie Bell are an interesting cast of brothers, and when you see the trailer they look pretty good on screen together. The action looks strong and the recreation of the cold forests and the period of 1944 looks very good. Frankly I wouldn't expect much less from an Edward Zwick film.
