Mann's Public Enemies to gain Marion Cotillard

MarionCotillard.jpgThe cast for Michael Mann's Public Enemies really is growing strong as word comes today that Marion Cotillard is in negotiations for a role.

She's an excellent actress and is joining an already highly impressive cast.

In Public Enemies Johnny Depp and Christian Bale are already starring with Depp playing John Dillinger and Bale the FBI agent Melvin Purvis who hunts he, and other famous criminals such as Baby Face Nelson and Pretty Boy Floyd, down.

The story comes from the novel Public Enemies: America's Greatest Crime Wave and the Birth of the FBI, 1933-34 by Bryan Burrough (Amazon.co.uk / Amazon.com) which tells the story of the Government's attempt to stop these infamous criminals.

With Michael Mann directing it we're in for an exciting and gritty film, bringing more reality than the gangster films we've seen to date, and that's something to look forward to on it's own, never mind this growing cast.

According to Reuters through Yahoo News Marion Cotillard is to play the girlfriend of Dillinger.

Wow, Cotillard is definitely going places, good for her!
