National Critics announce winners

While the National Society of Film Critics have been no great indicator of the Golden Globe or Oscar winners of the year, they are an interesting bunch of awards, and the 2007 winners have just been announced.

There Will Be Blood seems to be the big winner with no mention of No Country for Old Men or a number of other films that are being touted around all the other nominee lists.

Here are the winners for the National Critics for 2007 through Yahoo News, and it looks like they really did like one film in particular. Did they see anything else?

Picture: There Will Be Blood
Actor: Daniel Day-Lewis, There Will Be Blood
Actress: Julie Christie, Away from Her
Supporting Actor: Casey Affleck, The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
Supporting Actress: Cate Blanchett, I'm Not There
Director: Paul Thomas Anderson, There Will Be Blood
Screenplay: The Savages
Cinematography: There Will Be Blood
Documentary: No End in Sight
Foreign Film: 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days

I like that there's a lot of love for Daniel Day-Lewis and There Will Be Blood.

I am really getting very keen now to see Christie's performance in Away from Her.
