Lars and the Real Girl is a film that perhaps has the strangest premise of just about any film I've seen, but that said it's been getting a lot of praise indeed, and I've just been sent the trailer in multiple formats and sizes.

The story follows a young man who begins a friendship with a doll that he's bought on the internet, and far from ridicule him, his friends and family rally behind him to humour and encourage him.

The film stars Ryan Gosling, Emily Mortimer, Paul Schneider, Kelli Garner and Patricia Clarkson. Here's the trailer:
