Speak your mind and win on Filmstalker
Do you have a burning issue to address or an annoyance to shout about with regards a film you've seen, something in production now, an actor or actress, or just about the general state of a film industry?
Well now you can say your piece and get others involved, because for Filmstalker's second Birthday I'm opening up the Features section to you, the reader.
Like the Readers Top Lists we did recently, which readers can still submit whenever the fancy takes them, you can write up your own feature about anything film related, and if it's suitable - i.e. not offensive or rude and not already thoroughly covered - then you'll see it on the front page for about a week. There's the added bonus of getting regular and new readers commenting and becoming involved in your hot topic.
So if you can think of an interesting topic that could get a discussion going and that others would be interested in reading, then get writing now and you could see your feature on the front page.
Have a look at some of the past features before you get writing and check it hasn't been done already, and if you're about to embark on one then put the subject in a comment below so you can reserve it - wouldn't want someone else wasting their time writing up your feature.
A prize will be given out for the highest voted feature - features can be voted for through Filmstalker Readers, just see the vote box at the bottom of each feature article - and also for the one that gets the most comments from others (and no cheating!).
The winners will be able choose from the following prizes:
DVD: Donnie Darko Director's Cut
XBox: Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30
DVD: Kenneth Branagh's Henry V
DVD: Enemy of the State
DVD: Initial D import
Oh, and my decision is final! So get the ideas reserved and start writing. Once you're done email them to me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Good luck and I look forward to your features.
