Stalked: Deadpool and Gambit in Wolverine, Branagh and Ifans on Boat

Ryan Reynolds is Deadpool and Taylor Kitsch is Gambit in Wolverine...

Kenneth Branagh and Rhys Ifans join a Richard Curtis written Working Title film…

KennethBranagh.jpgRyan Reynolds has been trying for some time to secure the role of Deadpool and it finally looks like it might happen as the character is set to appear in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, according to AICN through Jo Blo. As an aside there's also a rumour over at IESB that Gambit is going to appear in the film too and that Taylor Kitsch is already cast. I'd love to see both because they could really lead into their own character films in a big way and both characters are rather ambiguous with their morality, perfect for the big screen.

Meanwhile Variety says that Kenneth Branagh, Rhys Ifans and January Jones have joined a Working Title film that Richard Curtis wrote called The Boat that Rocked, and surprisingly it's reading like a romantic comedy once again, something that I was sure Curtis had said he wasn't going to do anymore of, particularly at Working Title. The film has two DJ's on a boat pirate radio station when one of their girlfriends' visit and falls in love with the other.

Remy LeBeau -- Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!

Yes! I think Reynolds would make a great Deadpool and i'm pleased Gambit will be making an appearance.

The Boat That Rocked looks sweet! Love to see Branagh and Ifans in a rom-com, penned by Curtis of all people!
