Stalked: Haggis directs spies, Jarmusch's Control casting, Ellis adapting Downers Grove

Haggis directs ordinary CIA spies...

Jim Jarmusch's Limits of Control gains more...

Bret Easton Ellis is adapting Michael Hornburg's novel Downers...

Hugo Weaving joins The Wolf Man...

PaulHaggis.jpgPaul Haggis is a great writer, especially when he's capturing real people emotion and putting them into his characters, but he's also an extremely talented director as Crash (Filmstalker review) showed. Now he's set to direct the adaptation of Joseph Weisberg's novel An Ordinary Spy (Amazon.co.uk / Amazon.com) which Stephen Nathan is set to adapt, not himself. The story looks at the reality of working in the CIA and the daily work that they have to put in, including the emotional and psychological affect it can have on the agents. Sounds a rather interesting plot line. The story comes from the L.A. Times through Jo Blo.

Jim Jarmusch's The Limits of Control gains more cast members according to Variety. Hiam Abbass, Paz de la Huerta, Alex Descas, John Hurt, Youki Kudoh, Jean-François Stévenin and Luis Tosar. Recently we heard about the project with Isaach De Bankolé, Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton and Gael García Bernal already on board.

HugoWeaving.jpgBret Easton Ellis is not just content with having his own works adapted for the big screen so he's adapting Michael Hornburg's novel Downers Grove (Amazon.co.uk / Amazon.com). The story focuses on a senior high school student who, as The Hollywood Reporter describes, is paranoid and who's graduation is becoming a matter of life and death.

Hugo Weaving, "Mr...Anderson...I...presume", is joining the remake that is The Wolf Man alongside the title character Benecio Del Toro, Anthony Hopkins and Emily Blunt according to Variety.
