Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Undead trailer

JakeHoffman.jpgThe trailer for Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Undead is rather interesting, the idea of a small production of Hamlet being infested by vampires and the director of the play having to take arms against a sea of troubles, or to take stakes at least.

The film has an interesting list of stars Jake Hoffman, Devon Aoki, John Ventimiglia, Kris Lemche and a surprise credit of Ralph Macchio.

Actually the trailer looks kind of fun, mainly because of the offhand and more realistic manner in which people treat the vampires and some cool one liners. However I don't know how long the Hamlet joke is going to be played out, or if it's just a backdrop for the film rather than something that is constantly referred to.

Saying that the closing line from one of the stage actors playing the Shakespearean messenger duo is rather clever and well timed.

I wonder if this might give us something of a surprise and creep up as a hit for this year, especially in the genre of Shakespearean vampire films.

It's possible, Pig, I might be bluffing. It's conceivable, you miserable, vomitous mass, that I'm only lying here because I lack the strength to stand. But, then again... perhaps I have the strength after all. DROP... YOUR... SWORD!
